WhatsApp calls in the UAE
Atli does not block anything. Your data connection carries WhatsApp, FaceTime, Messenger and the rest exactly as it carries everything else.
The UAE is the exception, and it is not us:
- Local operators there block VoIP calls at network level, on their own networks
- That applies to any SIM or eSIM on those networks, including local ones
- Messaging in those apps keeps working. It is the calls that are blocked
So your data can be working perfectly and a WhatsApp call still will not connect. Hotel and cafe wifi is often blocked the same way.
Nothing on our side can lift it. It is set by the operator, not by the plan you bought.
